A new documentary exhibition called “National War” and Open Digital Archive of the Security Service of Ukraine documents opened in Kiev Museum of Soviet Occupation.
The exhibition was prepared by Kiev city organization of Allukrainian Stus community “Memorial” under the auspices of the Security Service of Ukraine. It covers the history of liberation movement of 1917-1932 and tells about resistance of Ukrainian people to the Soviet occupation.
According to Ivan Vasiunyk, vice prime minister of Ukraine, the name of the exhibition itself includes the main point of national liberation struggle in Ukraine, inflexibility of the Ukrainians in their struggle for their independence.
More than 50 thousand documents from the SSU, other party archives from 18 regions of Ukraine and abroad have been collected in the Museum.
The aim of the exhibition is to show to the young the struggle of all regions of Ukraine for the independence against Bolshevik occupation. It is the first part of the exhibition dedicated to this historical period.
